(Photo attached) I've had Photoshop on my Windows computers for years. Suddenly out of nowhere, I think it's in CS Live mode or something. I don't know what it is, or even if CS Live is what's causing the problem. But on the upper area to the right of File, Edit, etc., that area is now purple and for the bar under that where you'd select mode, opacity, etc for say the paint brush tool, to the right of that it's now red.
What is causing this and how do I make it go away?
Thanks.
Hi @TerryLn22
CSLive is long since gone. This site has the best description I can find of what is used to do:
https://adobe.fandom.com/wiki/Adobe_CS_Live
I also found this Adobe Help page for removing it. How comfortable are you with working in the Windows Registry?

Hi,
Here is an older post with more info on this:

"CS Live is perhaps a confusing term. I believe Live was a popular term in tech companies at the time, such as Office Live (and now you hear Cloud). The idea is that you have desktop products with an online component, and also services. So CS Live is this whole toolbox of stuff - Acrobat.com, Browser Lab, and Adobe Story (with NetAverages and CS Review soon removed)."CS live helps to accelerate my workflow" just means that depending on your workflow some of these new apps & services may help acce..."
With this information are you able to determine what changed in your workflow or setup?
Thanks,

What changed, was the color of the banners. What and why did this happen, and how do I make it go away? It's not a function issue. It's just an annoyance issue.

What version of windows are you using?
You can also remove CS Live from showing on the Application Bar by going to Edit>Preferences>Plug-Ins, unchecking Show CS Live in application bar and restarting photoshop.

That didn't work to take that weird stuff away. It comes up only after I open a photo. When I close a photo the weird colored banner is still there.

Did you try the steps on the Adobe Help page that was posted earlier in this thread?
