I need to buy photoshop but I don't know which one to buy ?
Which on is better out of two: photoshop cs6 and cs 6 extended ?
Help..
http://www.adobe.com/nz/products/photoshopfamily/buying-guide-version-comparison.html
Mostly just the 3D according to the chart, and a significant difference in price. The chart is misleading though... it says that Elements has Photomerge, but not either version of Photoshop. Photoshop has an excellent photomerge feature.

Extended has also the Analysis functions (now moved to a sub-menu) useful for scientific imaging and forensics. Image stacking, and other specialized tools.
Photoshop standard gained the timeline based animation panel that was once a extended only feature.

It's $400 for the upgrade,$1000 full USD. Standard is $200 upgrade/$700 full. Choose wisely as they say.

It's quite a difference, and I don't use 3D that much, because I have never taken the time to learn it properly. Corey Barker has some good tutorials on Planet Photoshop, but I don't know how much he has done with CS6 3D.

I guess having spent the extra dollars, I should start working through some of those tutorials, but I rationalise my inability to learn every aspect of every item of software I own, by completely believing the urban myth that Albert Einstein had difficulty with simple tasks like how to tie his shoe laces.

Yes.
Photoshop Extended = standard Photoshop + (mainly) 3D
Download the 30 day free Trial and see if you need the 3D features.
