Do you work on a Mac or in Windows? If you are looking at Macs, your choice is 13" vs 16". I prefer the smaller for travel because it's lighter and fits in a Brenthaven sleeve inside my carryon.

i live in Europe, Belgium and i need a new laptop.
I have a subscription for photoshop with you. I would like your advice on the necessary RAM and speed and strength and video card. I would like to work more with 3D ... Thanks for your advice, but it must be windows not Mac!

Hi,

You can read following article about minimum requirement for Photoshop. Ofcourse higher than minimum requirement will be great!

if you want to get into 3D then Adobe has very little to offer and Photoshop doesn't really care what Gpu your laptop has... it only uses the chip

something like a n580v will be cheep to get now days and is easy to upgrade as your needs grow;

keys points are;

  • I7 chip
  • both sdd for boot speed + 2nd drive for storeage... most people upgrade these but battery drain becomes an issue if you get to greedy
  • stand alone Gpu chip will handle modern 3D software like Iclone and Blender

the M\ N is just US or international and V is the oldest i.e, N580v is older than N580G (which is just a newer I7 and imo not worth the extra $)

p.s, yes Apple Mac is a joke when it comes to 3D... which is also why Adobe is so far behind

This works perfectly for me :

Also it manages 2 LG monitors (24") without any issue.

Greta, I did not see your reply to my question: What is your budget? 500 euros? 5000 euros? More?

Hi, it all depends on the budget you want to spend. Do you have a specific figure in mind?
