When I use Command 1 to go to 100% magnification, the image goes up to the upper left quadrant.

Where is the setting to have the image center on the screen as opposed to the upper left? Thanks in advance

You could try to uncheck "overscroll" in Preferences. Not sure if that fixes it here, but it's connected to that behavior.
