Hopefully an Adobe representative can tell me when Photoshop will be able to save Tiff's bigger than 4gb I am working with very large multi-layered stitched panarama I use another software as Photoshop only stitches horizontally will not combine images across several horizontal levels.  The other software exports 6bg+ .tiff files which I like to return to Photoshop for a final polish, except Photoshop cannot save the file.

If your panorama is to be printed as a poster and viewed from a distance, you may not need such as a high resolution, also as TIFs tend to be very large try saveing it as a JPG without very much compression – it will have a much smaller file size with IMO imperceptible loss of quality.

NO, this is to be printed as a print to be scrutinised up close and requires
fine detail, hence the reason I am using tiff and making the image from up
to 60 images

If you have Printer that can print your Panorama the size and resolution you need. Can it not be used by Photoshop that has large file support. PSB files?  Why do you need Tiff?  Many File system do not have support for huge files.  Large files can not even fit on some media like CD.  Also 4GB Tiff limit is not an Adobe set limit. The TIFF file format uses 32bit offsets and, as such, is limited to 4 gigabytes.

TIFF is absolutely limited to 4GB, by design. What you are probably wanting is that Photoshop supports the BigTIFF format for saving. This is not actually TIFF, even though it hides under the same name. I think it would be a good thing for Photoshop to support this as a separate save option (BIGTIFF format). This is important because it is a new format, and most software won't understand it; the potential for confusion would be large if it just happened. I assume you're aware of the useful PSB format; it's the same idea, PSD could not be made bigger without breaking all existing software and confusing everyone.
