Adobe says my Photoshop is up to date. A tutorial says to "Select Remove tool from the toolbar, nested under Spot Heeling Brush tool." The Remove tool is not there. How do I get it to show up?
@WallyD3 what exact version of Photoshop do you have, have you tried restoring the toolbar defaults, also make sure you're in the essentials workspace
Your screenshot says you have both 25.12 and 26.0 installed. You may have opened the older version. Try opening v. 26 from the CC app and see if that works for you.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

It turns out that I have both Photoshop 24 and 25 (i.e. 26.0). I disabled Photoshop 24 then followed your suggestion of restoring default. I see the Remove Tool in the list of available tools. I then restored the defaults and selected Done. The Remove Tool is still not present on the tool bar directly or as an option under the Spot Healing Brush tool. My menue under Window is somewhat different than you show. Adjustments is checked as is Essentials (Default). The Geds Workspace and Lock Workspace are options not available.

Please go to Edit > Toolbars and show a screenshot similar to the first one from Ged.

The workspace called "Ged's Workspace" is a custom workspace that he created by choosing "New Workspace". I have one called "Jane's Workspace".

Thank you Jane and Ged. I went through Ged's step again in order to get a screen shot. This time restoring the defaults worked. Now I need to learn how to use the Remove Tool.
