Hi

i run cs6 under w7 32bit

and i have updated to 13.0.1

but here  http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5408       there is  Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.1 update for Adobe Photoshop CS6

and if i go under help and updates....  it doesn't find 13.0.1.1 but only 13.0.1

should i download and run the update? or 13.1.1 is the same thing of 13.0.1 ?

and dynamiclinkmanager.exe is part of photoshop cs6 standalone or master collection ?

because i have never seen with photoshop cs5

ps is there a full pdf manual or a non pdf manual to download

thanks

The latest update for CS6 was Oct 8 for Dynamic Link Media Server 1.0.1 which is a DLL used by Photoshop when rendering output video files.  There is no PDF for CS6 there is a PDF for all versions of Photoshop however it need a lot of work for it does not spell out where thing differ between versions and users interfaces may show CS5 interface where you would like information on CS6 changed user interface. Needed information for CS6 is missing some can be found on Adobe Web site. Search for optional downloads. Things the were shiped with CS5 in not in CS6 so where the Photoshop reference show documentation and plugin for Scripting is in CS5 no such location exists in CS6 it needs to be downloaded  for CS6.

CS6 Code and Documentation need work its not ready for prime time... As Noel wrote CS6 needs more updates to fix its many bugs. Photoshop Reference  needs missing information added And missing code needs to be added to Photoshop to support new CS6 features in scripting right now features like Bicubic Automatic preference setting can cause internal photoshop errors in script.

Photoshop standard CS6 version uses the Dynamic Link Media Server dll when it renders video. Basic video editing is now a standard feature in CS6. That may be the reason there is a need for a Dynamic Link Manager.

I sure hope 13.0.1.1 isn't the last update.  I'd like to see more things fixed in Photoshop CS6.

Ohhhh, you mean the latest update...

13.0.1.1 is a security signature update on code that's numbered internally 13.0.1.0.  It's an attempt by adobe to mitigate the risk they perceive in actually rebuilding their software to contain an updated 13.0.1.1 (or gasp even 13.0.2) version.  Thus, you will not see direct evidence anywhere that you have 13.0.1.1.  Instead, you actually have to examine the code signature on such files as Photoshop.exe.

Frankly, while it may be warranted, Adobe ought to be ashamed of themselves for causing such version confusion, and further so by not being willing even to rebuild software with just a version change.

What Adobe may not realize is that many of the people using their software actually care about such things, and actually prefer to manage the versions of software running on their computers.  Perhaps Adobe thinks one has to be a computer geek to want to manage things at that careful a level, in which case determining the code signature date on a file is no big deal, but I suspect there's a middle ground of careful, serious people who just don't happen to have a degree in computer science.

As a career expert in engineering processes and software management systems, I'll be more than happy to consult with Adobe on such things as repeatable processes and risk management.

Sorry, I missed that part of the question.

I have only Photoshop CS6 Extended (none of the rest of the Creative Suite), and I seem to have dynamiclinkmanager:
