I am working in photoshop 2024 on a macbook running Ventura 13.5.
I now have white boxes appearing over my project while i work. its impossible to make progress, as they sometimes disappear when you zoom way out, but zooming back in to actually work they reappear. They often will cover a ton of the project right where i was editing.
Is there any fix for this?

Hi @shawn23725650jx0m Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”. Quit and relaunch PS.

Kevin,
Someone needs to let Adobe know this action you suggested works. I spent 2.5 hours today with a support specialist logged into my machine trying to fix. They had decided it was that i was pasting vector files into PS from Illustrator as Smart Objects, and if i did it as Layers, it stopped. But your fix actually allows me to paste in Smart Objects with no white box wierdness. So thank you!
One caveat: the support specialist took me back one version of PS, so its possible this issue isn't solved with the very lastest PS? Either way, i'm back to my deadline, so huge thank you Kevin!
