why a brush tool turns into an eraser?

Hello!

I was painting layers, until the last one I couldn't. Somehow a brush is acting like an eraser. Need help.

I got my answer. The previous layer was on Darken. xD

Paste a screen shot of your entire workspace with the brush tool selected, and layers panel visible.  Better still, also have the Brush Settings panel visible. We'll be able to get an idea of what is going on from that screen shot.  Paste it full res btw.  Don't downsize it before pasting to this thread.

  But you could just check the blend mode for the brush and layer, and if the layer is in a group, the blend mode of the group.
