Why are my already installed Windows fonts not showing up in Photoshop (latest version)?

I have many good Windows fonts installed on my PC (Windows 10). These fonts are not being accessed by Photoshop. After looking through the help forums here and through my settings in Photoshop, I can not enable these fonts. The fonts work fine in other programs. Why does Photoshop not see them? Very aggravating!

Photoshop uses the Windows fonts, can you post a screenshot with the font list opened in Photoshop

Other things to try resetting PS preferences

    Preferences in Photoshop

Re-installing PS using the Adobe Cleaner Tool

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Are you using Suitcase Fusion? It has an annoying habit of switching fonts off without permission.

I am not using Fusion or any other program to handle fonts. These fonts show up fine in Word and Publisher etc.

I thought I would share my two cents. I ran into this problem. My solution was choosing to "Install for all users" and not simply "Install" when right-clicking in Windows to install the specific font.

    Hi

Can you give an example of a couple of the fonts that aren't showing up, are these fonts that you have downloaded and then added to the fonts folder in the Control Panel

None of my Windows fonts show up of over 200 of them - they are installed into Windows and work fine with Windows programs. In the past, Photoshop would access them automatically.  Do I have to reinstall them into Photoshop somehow? For example, every TrueType font I own.
