Question

Why disable GPU when it's supported?

I have a Windows 10 system running PhotoShop 23.1.0 on an Intel 630 GPU. After editing an image and then resizing it, the program will crash. The suggested fix is to turn off the GPU which seemed to fix this issue. However, if the Intel 630 GPU is supported (as Adobe states that it is), why do I have to turn it off to prevent this from happening?

Hi James,

Sorry about the trouble experienced.

Would you mind updating Photoshop to 23.1 and checking if that works.

If that doesn't resolve the issue please try resetting the preferences of Photoshop and let us know if that helps?

Preferences

Note: Make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. Migrate presets, actions, and settings

Thanks,

Hi Ranjisha:

Yes, I'm at revision 23.1.0. When I disable the GPU it works fine. Thoughts?

Thanks for the info. Are the graphic drivers up to date? We can try graphic processor and graphic driver troubleshooting steps as this might be the reason here. Here's the link: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html

Let us know if that helps,
