Question

Why is PSD File Type Square instead of a Rectangle?

Hello,
Yesterday, my .psd files were blank, so I went to Properties and changed the file type by locating the PS software icon. However, the icons are now square instead of a rectangle. Is it a big deal? No, but it really annoys me. I wish I could somehow change it to the rectangle type like the JPEG files seen below. Has anyone ever experience this? If so, is there solution? Thank you.

If you install extension to build previews it may render thumbnails as you want to see them. I do not know trick to make default thumbnails on Windows rectangular.

Thank you, Bojan.

They use to look like this before, but I can't seem to get that rectangle look back. It's not a big concern. I just prefer this look over a big square image.
(The rectangle image is below, if curious)

For me thumbnails are still rectangles in portrait orientation. Can you post Help > System Info, maybe someone can spot potential problem?
