Why is the visible area of background limited by foreground image?

Hi,

I'm new with PS.  I'm trying to replace background of an image, and can successfully create layer mask to do it.  However, when drag in the new background, the visible area of the new background is limited by foreground image.  Please see attached screenshot.  How can I fix this problem?

Thanks & regards.

Once you drag in the larger background into the smaller image, use the Image > Reveal command (which is the inverse of crop).

Yes, "Image -> Reveal All" fix this issue.  Thank you.  Much appreciate!

Your welcome, I was going from memory, it is indeed Reveal All!

Try dragging the foreground into the new background instead.

I tried it by the same problem persists.  Please see the attached video clip.  It seems the problem is caused by the limited view area.  After enlarge the background (as shown in the attached video), the view area is not enlarged so only part of background is shown (the rest area cannot be seen because the rest area is outside of the view area).

I must miss something as another similar project works as expected.  I did compare both projects but cannot find a clue on the differences.  Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks & regards.
