Question

[win10 bug?] Photoshop steals window focus FOUR times while loading

I usually multi-task while working and always have multiple programs open.

I've found that whenever I load photoshop, and then switch to another window while photoshop loads (chrome, illustrator, anything) -- photoshop will then take window focus/priority on four separate occasions during the loading sequence.

It's really annoying and feels like a bug. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, everyone has it.  Have you posted about it on the Feedback site linked to above?  There is no point telling us about it here. There is every point in swamping the feedback site thread with so many posts that they can't ignore it.  Squeaky Wheels Get Oiled.

Anyone noticed this appears to be fixed , at least here on Windows 10 , with the latest CC2018 release

Yes, I also have this problem, and it's terribly frustrating when opening PS or multiple files. It prevents me from doing anything else with my computer until it's finished.

I'm actually wondering if you have posted on this subject before, because I can remember a near identical Subject line a while back.

Nope.  I just searched and at least two other people have posted about it

"We're investigating this issue. Thanks."

This is not an acceptable answer.FIX YOUR SOFTWARE! We all pay a lot of money just to be able to use your software. You have been investigating this issue for over 8 months and longer since this has been an issue with Photoshop CC 2016 also.

They probably lack the competence. I can't imagine any other reason why this would take so long.

I think it's too difficult to fix the problem, and they're focusing resources on other stuff - cloud version of Lightroom, their Ai assistant (sensei), XD, etc... Probably they're working on a different version of photoshop software all togheter, written from the scratch. That would mean ignoring the difficult to fix bugs of the actual version, leaving the users frustrated until a new option will be available.
