windows 10 Photoshop CS6 "some" fonts do not show up

I am a PC Photoshop user running windows 10.0.18362.  My issue is that some fonts (example:  0.2 Helvetica, Helvetica, Helvetica, HV___ , Adobe font library font) do not show up in Illustrator and Photoshop, but DO show up in Gimp and MSWord and other digital art programs I use.

If anyone has an idea of why this is happening or is having the same problem please let me know.  I am installing the fonts correctly in the C:\Windows\Fonts.  Fonts from (for example daFont.com) work, but my Adobe font library fonts no longer display.

It is your own responsibility to use it in a combination that is not guaranteed to work.
In addition, the operation result differs for each Adobe application.
If resetting the preferences doesn't help, no one can help you.

Just pointing out a inconsistency and you products.  My responsibility is to my clients.  I can work around any applications deficiencies.  Obviously this is a "feature" of the Adobe CS6 line.  I was looking for help in this issue, I guess I will continue with work arounds. Cheers

No CS6 applications are certified on Windows 10.
It is unlikely that the current version will work properly, since compatibility has been lost with the Windows version update.
Type1 fonts themselves are not maintained and should not be used.

see attached Garamond examples.  If you feel this is a windows issue, it seems to be selective on what it will allow to work

Helvetica fonts are sometimes macOS fonts, so depending on the source, there are several potential issues that could arise.

Where did you get the Helvetica fonts from?

Adobe type library. For example Garamond does not show up in illustrator or photoshop cs6, but does work in Gimp
