Just a FYI, can't say I've noticed any issues

WindowsColorSystem disabled + KB4505903 (26 July) + AMD 19.7.3 = All seems to be OK again
DisplayCAL profile switching without issue, both HW calprofiles (VCGT linear) and common GPU calibration profiles (VCGT with correction). No banding at all.
I hope people with ColorNavigator experience the same with this W10 update.
Can other users report if W10 is OK for them now?
Also a side question, maybe @D Fosse. Did somebody test "Studio Driver" for common gamming geforce with Photoshop? nvidia claims support for 30bit on OpenGL apps (like in Quadros) on all Pascal or newer gamming cards. This may be a game changer (although AMD dithering on every output seems for me a safer choice if you need GPU calibration).

KB4505903 hasn't showed up here yet. But according to the release notes it "Updates an issue that may display colors incorrectly when viewing an image on 10-bit display panels". I'll report back when I get it.
Hopefully it will also bring 30 bit color back. I haven't been able to get it to work for some time now, but I don't know if the problem is Windows or NVidia Quadro drivers.
I saw the announcement about the new Studio Driver with 30 bit capability on GeForces. That is indeed a paradigm shift, and a most welcome one because it will inevitably put more pressure on all the vendors to get it working. So far it has seemed nobody really cared, and if it was broken so what. That attitude may change now.

Yes! KB4505903 was waiting for me on my home machine today, and once I ran it the banding is gone.
30 bit color still isn't working, so that's a disappointment. But at least the 256 steps are silky smooth now. Of course you never notice in practical work, it's just a matter of principle...
I've noticed on my two systems that the same updates come at different intervals, sometimes several weeks apart. One of them is on a corporate network, so that may be it. It'll turn up at work too eventually.
Yume-chan, thanks for waking us all up from our slumber. Bugs of this severity don't happen often on Windows, this was a first for me. Next time I'll hold back as long as I can. Oh, and Ged for bringing it up in the first place!

No other takes on this? It isn't something you normally notice in a busy workday - you have to go and look for it. Do you all see it?
Yes, I know I blew my credibility on this one and I'm ready to take my punishment . But I just want to find out how to live with it. Has anyone else tried to disable this scheduled task? Is it safe and can it easily be enabled again? Anything out there on the internet?

Found this https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/7b0kpb/fix_for_windows_10_resetting_nvidia_color_profile/ so it seems safe to disable the triggers and they can be enabled again
I disabled it as well and rebooted without any issues

Hi
Thanks for posting this Ged/Dag/Yume-chan. So far, I've held back from 1903, happy to stay with 1809 until others complete the beta test .
I'll hold off a bit longer and watch for resolution before going ahead.
Dave
