how to put my cs6 photoshop on my macbook it is currently on my hp PC with Windows

Every operation system (OS)  has it's own software files so PS set up files for windows are different for Mac and you need to download PS for Mac OS.

So I need to buy a new photoshop then? Or I can download the files for free?

You can subscribe to creative cloud and download the version you need for windows or mac.

Or you can download a trial 7 days version.

See Exchange a product for a different language or platform version. This was still an option a year ago, but may have been discontinued at this point. See CS6 windows convert to Mac

CS6 has long since reached end of life so I wouldn't be surprised if you are no longer able to make the exchange. Note that if you purchase a subscription to Photoshop CC you will be able to install it on two computers—one can be a Mac and one can be Windows. The basic Photography plan is $120 per year: Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan | Professional photo editing software.
