Erorr message unidentifiable. Is there a way to convert?

Photoshop files don't version out like, let's say, Illustrator files do.  You can make a basic change and save - like hide layer then show it again - to save the PSD file in the current version.

It sounds like you want to go through the troubleshooting steps for printing.

You're trying to print what kind of documents? They open right? What if you save as... Then select TIFF, reopen and try printing. Or try this:

Quit Photoshop if running.
Relaunch Photoshop and open the file that you want to print.
Press the Spacebar on your keyboard before you click File > Print. This process resets printer preferences that have been written into the image.
