Why does this Layers/Panels/Path panel show through my opening page?

Hi there,

That shouldn't be happening, could you please let us know the version of Photoshop you're working with?
Could you try resetting the preferences and let us know if it helps?

Note: Make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. Migrate presets, actions, and settings

Adobe PhotoShop CC  20.0.8 Release

I'll try resetting the preferences.

I just realized I am also running V 21.1 with Creative Cloud and the problem does not happen when using it.  I guess I'll just quit using the old version!
