That image doesn't look right. the histogram has popped out of its window. Somethings fishy...

You can open up the histogram panel under the windows menu and watch the histogram. You ca also click on the little exclamation mark in there to generate a new histogram.

I went ahead with the tutorial. But I am still confused as to why the white shape in the properties box above post doesn't appear to change when I dragged the sliders?Screen Shot.jpg

By white shape, do you mean the histogram? It doesn't change when you move the sliders. You are working with an image that doesn't have any blacks. You moved the histogram slider to make the image darker.

I went to Windows/Properties for the image. Thanks for the Exclamation tip--it worked.

There is a green star with Correct Answer already. If I click it, it says Unmark as Correct Answer and the star turns gray?
