Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Turning off »Use Graphics Processor« should only serve as diagnostics – if it makes a difference then it seems likely that, as JJMack  and NB, colourmanagement have pointed out, the GPU driver may need updating – or rolling back, unfortunately both are possibilities.

Hi Zigzag,

please do bear in mind comment above, Turning off »Use Graphics Processor« should only serve as diagnostics it should not be left "OFF"

please try updating your graphics card (GPU) driver, if that doesn’t work you may have to roll it back and mark an answer here as correct so that others can see what worked when searching for similar issies

but only once you have fixed the problem long term.

I hope this helps you towards a permanent fix

Hi

I don't think that’s an issue with an ICC profile because that would be a uniform issue over the whole screen.

Does any other application show this appearance issue?

Is it over the whole screen or just Photoshop's "image" area? It's hard to tell from your screenshot.

If it's only happening in Photoshop  you may want to try reset Photoshop's preferences.

click here for more info: Preferences in Photoshop

If you have any important tool presets do save those first.

And update your video card drivers:

I hope this helps

thanks
