zoom tool works wrong way around

Hi, I don't know if this is a bug or not but I was using the zoom tool in Photoshop and it suddently started working backwards.  In other words, instead of zoom-in being the default and zoom-out working with the Alt key, it changed around and I needed to press the Alt key to zoom in.  Is there a way to fix this so it always works with the default being zoom-in?  Thanks.

Zaffer

I'm running Photoshop 25.2.0 on Windows 10.

There are two things you can try. Select your Zoom tool and look in the options bar (Window menu).

1. There are icons with a + and - . If the minus button is selected, choose the plus button

OR

2. Reset the tool. Right-click the Zoom tool in the options bar (not Tools panel) and choose Reset Tool from the contextual menu.

Thanks Jane, I tried reseting the zoom tool and it worked.  From now on I'll keep my eye on the + and - minus buttons too.  Thanks!
