Not only photoshop, all of softwares by adobe.

Many artists who using adobe products don't want to using & supporting generative ai at all.

we have rights to opt-out from these things like generative ai tools in software, unwanted ads and nofitications.

This is 100% false David. Adobe is not using your images and data to train their Generative AI.

Adobe’s continued commitments

Our commitments to our customers have not changed.

  • Adobe does not train Firefly Gen AI models on customer content. Firefly generative AI models are trained on a dataset of licensed content, such as Adobe Stock, and public domain content where copyright has expired. Read more here: https://helpx.adobe.com/firefly/faq.html#training-data
  • Adobe will never assume ownership of a customer's work. Adobe hosts content to enable customers to use our applications and services. Customers own their content and Adobe does not assume any ownership of customer work.

Given the terrible quality of generativeAI, and the ridiculous file sizes its current implementations generate, we should be able to choose versions of the Apps that have NO GenAI IN THEM AT ALL.

The 'ghost' genAI images in the InDesign links panel is the final straw.

Get rid of the blatant AI features to generate images and prompts and I'm good

@davescm Yes! that's what i saying. I have no problem with other ai tools like seleting object or something  but "generative ai" is very unwelcome.

@ John35281313 I've merged your thread with an ongoing idea thread (linked by Stephen) to keep these ideas together.

I work in a school and this would be incredibly helpful for our photography students (GCSE and A Level) who are under strict guidelines from examination boards and moderators. To be able to prove everything is their own work is really important. IMHO, they also need to learn to walk before they can run - to understand what goes on under the hood, so to speak. (As an aside, l recently bought myself a new iPad and have been playing around on it this morning in PS for iPadOS. It baffles me that there is no basic radial gradient option, but that you could potentially use generative AI to create one?! Like making me drive to the local shops in a Hummer when all I wanted to do was walk...) So, yes an option to choose (and prove) would be very welcome.

I find this to be an interesting idea but for a different reason than you have stated. I'm a graphic designer working for a large company and we recently posted an image on LinkedIn that would be very inapropriate to have been made with AI. LinkedIn has this new feature where it identifies to users what photos have AI in them and, even though this photo had not been made with AI, there was some sort of glitch and it labeled this photo as if it had. Anyways, panic insued and I ended up having to take a screenshot of my design as a work around.

If this feature of turning off AI while working on images that absolutely can't have AI in them was available, that would be helpful to make sure nothing is getting in there that could earn an AI lebel like we had to deal with.

Yes, opt out of generative features *and* disable internet access for the features that can/do use it so it can't happen by mistake

Yes, adding that I too would like a very easy and clear way to turn genAI off and be sure it would not even inadvertantly get used. (And better yet if it is off by default and you have to enable/opt-in).
