A lazy mouse feature in PS would be great. (like the one in Zbrush)

There is an external program called Lazy Nezumi, but this only 'works' on PC, & not on Mac (sadface)

Try Manga studio or Corel painter, they have stroke smoothing.

I would like to share the Idea of adding stabilization to the photoshop program because it slows down the pen and makes it easier to ink. there is a second party program that works with photoshop but they charge for it. it would be more cost efficient if it was put into the program itself. it would make photoshop even more versatile and you wouldn't have to move to another program.

Here's a really great tutorial for animating in Photoshop by Alex Grigg.

This is a much needed feature indeed. Autodesk Sketchbook Pro have it and it works beautifully. It's a must have for finalizing and retouching your drawings.

+1, also having a few different types of smoothing like in Lazy Nezumi would be great (Pulled String, moving average).

it would be nice to truly smooth out your drawing strokes,
"much like in illustrator"
you should be able to set the amount of smoothing you want

I would absolutely love something like Lazy Nezumi (which sadly is not available for Mac) natively in Photoshop. This is one of the major disadvantages Photoshop has compared to painting applications like Manga Studio.

Hello, I use Photoshop for a long time, and everything in it is good, but not enough small additions, such as the stabilization of a stroke (for better drawing), like the Sai (stabilizer). Could you in the next version, add a new panel settings for smooth lines in Photoshop. Thank you very much for yor products, with the hope of a useful addition in the future .. Happy New Year!

I'm casting my vote for a modernized smoothing algorithm. All of the above mentioned apps would be great. I'll throw in that Manga Studio/Clip Studio Paint has really nicely configurable stabilization settings as well (if any devs are researching this).
I'll also mention that none of these other drawing/painting apps have any Cintiq related wobble issues (that are somehow tied to zoom level) like Photoshop has. I have to assume the way PS deals with raw incoming pen data is just very different from everyone else.

You can use Sketchbook, Daniela. It has a feature called "Steady Stroke" which delays the movement you make with strokes - and you can adjust it. It's pretty good.

yeah, I know, i still have my pc at home where i can use other software that also has lazy mouse. But i have to use Mac in my work and they don't allow me to install any other software ( we have adobe cloud) unless is open source. I tried to install mypaint via mac ports, but i find it too difficult, since i don't have knowledge in programming.

Anyway it would be nice if photoshop considers including this feature.

How is this not native to Photoshop?!?! Even on my iPad, ArtStudio does this. I can't understand how this is not a #1 priority.

Heh. I'm afraid we (digital artists, at least) only make up a tiny, niche customer base for PS.

I used to point people to one of a few other good software options for line-work. But now all I have to do is say use ANY other drawing/painting software for the task. $ or free. I seriously haven't come across a single one that doesn't have both functional drawing (that's not wiggly on a cintiq), as well as post-corrected and/or lazymouse ones to boot.
The king of digital imaging software is the only one left.
I guess it's good to be on top.

Hi, Mark!
I enjoy your work, and have done for quite a while.
Did you get your wobbly lines fixed?
It's been an ongoing thing for ages, and I've had it both at my work and home Cintiqs/Intuoses.
I found a reliable fix that worked for me the last few years.
If you're on Mac, update the driver and the OS to the latest, they came out with a fix around Christmas, or if you're on pc, check this link out: http://www.yjstudios.com/blog/2014/05...

I hope it helps, that wobbly line is so insanely frustrating.

Thanks,
Joel Akerman

Thanks, man! Bunches of great work on your site, BTW. I did find a partial solution with old wacom drivers. It helps about 25%. The issue with photoshop is closely tied to zoom. If I zoom to 100%: no wobble. If I open a document and don't touch the zoom: No wobbles. It's never a nice line you'd get on paper or in other software, but it's not shaky.
