P: Re-add scroll wheel functionality for Layer Modes

Hallo,

seit dem Update auf Photoshop CC 2026 kann ich nicht mehr mit dem Mausrad durch die Liste der Ebenenmodi scrollen. In anderen Dropdown-Menüs (z. B. bei den Color Lookups) funktioniert das Scrollen jedoch problemlos.

In früheren Versionen von Photoshop konnte ich einfach mit der Maus über die Liste fahren und mit dem Scrollrad durch die Modi wechseln. Ich habe bereits folgende Schritte ausprobiert, leider ohne Erfolg:

• Zurücksetzen der Voreinstellungen

• Neustart von Photoshop und des Computers

• Überprüfung der Eingabegeräteeinstellungen

• Test mit Trackpad und externer Maus

Es scheint, als wäre diese Funktion in der neuesten Version entweder deaktiviert oder fehlerhaft. Kann jemand vielleicht bitte bestätigen, ob es sich um eine bewusste Änderung oder um einen Bug handelt, der in einem kommenden Update behoben wird?

This doesn't work for me too. But I'm not sure if this had already worded in former versions.

I don't see the point either, since the entire list is displayed when you click on it. Then you can select the desired entry from the list. Why would I need to scroll through the list with the scroll wheel?

Personally, I find it much faster and more intuitive that way. I can see the difference between the layers and the effect each blend mode creates much more easily. 🙂

And it worked in CC 2025 and under perfectly ^^'

Here on a Windows 10 install, Photoshop 2022, 2023 and 2024 work to use the scroll wheel for changing the Layer Blending Modes in the Layers panel, but does not in Photoshop 2025 and 2026.

Since you say it's working for you in Photoshop 2025, maybe you have an earlier Photoshop 2025 release before the scroll function stopped working.

I have the same problem and miss the previous functionality. Please fix this.
