Photoshop. Using Magic Mouse Scroll zoom. If Use 'tool'-zoom with scroll loose 'Magic Mouse' panning

Hi,

If in the SETTINGS - TOOL - 'ZOOM WITH SCROLL' is selected the macs MAGIC MOUSE is then limited to only being able to navigate the Photoshop window UP and DOWN, it can no longer go LEFT to RIGHT. (This is a real pain!!!)

IF the SETTING IS DESELECTED - the MAGIC MOUSE can again resume its usual ability to pan UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT but cannot zoom. the only way to ZOOM now is to hold the OPTION key and CLICK where you want to zoom. SELECT the SETTING 'ZOOM CLICKED POINT TO CENTRE' to help precision a little.

Ideally, it would be appreciated if it could be integrated (I thought it was? - but it seems not to be anymore)

So that you can select ZOOM WITH SCROLL and maintain your ability to go UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT with the MAGIC MOUSE.

Thanks 🙂

Thank you Jeff, Yes, its like the opposite benefits of those I described though, it appears you can either have one set of benefits through the zoom scroll but you can not have them both, you have to use the option key for the second set of benefits - maybe that is just the way it is.

I prefer panning up, down, left, or right without the option key and zooming with the option key if that is the only choice.

If you have Zoom with Scroll Wheel enabled then you can press the Option key to pan up/down and side to side.
