Request for an option to deactivate the quite new transformation frame display

I have a complaint about Photoshop. I have been using the program since the first versions and am really annoyed by the new selectionj tool behaviour, which cannot be turned off in the preferences. Please create a way to turn off the standard display of a transform frame when using the selection tool (I don't want to have to switch the view mode every time). This really gets in the way when working and activating it when needed via Ctrl+T was absolutely sufficient and better than today.
(I'm currently using 26.2. on Windows)

Might you be confusing the Move Tool’s »Show Transform Controls« with something else?

Otherwise please post meaningful screenshots to clarify what you are complaining about.

I am a little perplexed with what you are asking. The part that caught my eye is Ctrl +T. I have always used this shortcut to Free Transform an object. I guess you can re-assign keys to perform another task. Personally I like the selection tool. Makes selecting an object quick and easy. I can quickly access Quick Mask and Paint (Q & P)add to or take away from the selection. Since you state you have been using PS from first versions you probably already know this. So, I must be missing something in your complaint?

Or might you be talking about the »Layer Edges«-display, which actually is fairly new?

The Move Tool’s »Show Transform Control«-setting has existed at least since Photoshop CC 2019 (the oldest version I have access to at work), so I wonder how many Photoshop versions you have left out.
