I find that moving around after zooming in is a little difficult in the photoshop-app version. I'd also like the artboard tool to craete and crop artboards easier.

Hi Amanda, happy to add this as a new feature request.

Currently, you are able to hold the space bar and move around the canvas. Hope this will work for you until the Hand tool becomes available.

Thank you for your post,

Really great to have your feedback and feature requests here Kaygonic Media.

Would it be possible for you to create a separate thread for Artboards and we'll adjust this one to be more hand-tool specific?

That'll help for when others start voting.

If the Hand tool is added to Photoshop on the web (Beta), it would be very helpful if the following functionality was also added at the same time:

  • Double-click the Hand tool icon in the Toolbar to fit the image on screen. (Equivalent to the existing Fit to Screen option from the Zoom Options menu in the Header bar.)
  • Hold down the ⌘ / Control key while the Hand tool is selected to temporarily change to the Zoom in tool.
  • Hold down the ⌥ / Alt key while the Hand tool is selected to temporarily change to the Zoom out tool.

As one of the major features of Photoshop on the web (Beta) is collaboration with teammates and stakeholders, the ability to quickly navigate around Photoshop documents should get as much priority as the ability to edit Photoshop documents. This is especially true if your collaborators are not particularly familiar with Photoshop and basic functionality such as panning and zooming is hidden away in menu options and keyboard shortcuts.

@Amanda5CA0

If you use a device which supports gestures, then you can also pan around your Photoshop document no matter which tool you currently have selected, by using two fingers to scroll in any direction.

Just discovered there's a "hidden" Hand tool in Photoshop on the web (beta)!

Unlike Photoshop on the desktop, you can actually have no tool selected: just click on the active tool in the Toolbar to turn it off.

You won't notice any change to the cursor, but it now works exactly the same as the Hand tool.

Would be even nicer if the cursor changed to the Pan icon:

Great find Phil. You'll also get a hand icon if you hold the Spacebar.

Thanks, I came here to find the hand tool. Spacebar works a treat.
