Rotation Compass Rosette - More Options!

Photoshop developers - Please give users the option to completely remove the Compass Rosette when rotating canvas - via all means and not just scrubbing Rotation in Toolbar. When doing fine tone and shading, it's so distracting having this massive, ugly compass pop up right in the middle of screen, every time you rotate the canvas. If it can be turned off using the scrubber in the Rotation Toolbar, surely the user can be given the option to turn it off across all Rotation methods? Thanks.
