Copy metadata tags to text layer??

I want to copy metadata tags such as camera type, f#, etc to a text layer.  Is there a way to do that?

Thanks Stephen.  I came to the conclusion that it is not possible without the use of scripting.  Your post confirms that.  The script you provided is not quite what I want but it is close.  I will probably have to write my own to get exactly what I want.

Just thinking out loud, this may or may not work… there may be another option, which would be to use variables. It would be a more complex workflow as you would need to export out metadata to a .csv file, however it may remove the need for scripting if you had to do this in bulk.
