hallo, my name is Iqbal

i am new with photoshop cs4... i am new with pepakura... zero idea about vectors...

but i am a huge fan in papercraft

for years i have only building someone else papercraft design, until recently a saw a low poly papercraft design, so i spend a bit time in understanding it

my questions are.... please bear it... it sure is a noob question...

1. how to convert an .eps vector file to .obj ?

2. can pepakura designer read .obj ?

3. can an .obj file be immediately be unfold in pepakura ?

the idea is... to download free vector file from the web (usually in .eps files) and try to find a way to use it in pepakura to produce a low poly design...

4. how to simplify my pepakura folds in to small amount of piece not in thousand parts...

thank you very much for your attention

a best regards from Indonesia... bye

i am a big fan of papercraft

i am trying to convert these polygon vectors to be able to open and unfold in pepakura

    this is the link

    https://www.shutterstock.com/image-vector/vector-polar-bear-stylized-triangle-polygonal-88285552?src=nVri7YnNOzTNPRKxJFVAjg-1-2

i think the files might not be able to form a complete 3d design

i was hoping at least it can be a 2d 'pop up polygon' design which we can hang in walls as interior ornament

like a picture but with polygon surface

thank you very for your time and your help

i dont have degree nor the knowledge to do it

barely have any knowledge in pepakura myself

Photoshop is not a vector editor.  It is a pixels editor the has some vector tools and features.   While you can place in some vector file like .SVG and .AI files as vector smart object layers.   You can not get at the vector in these file in Photoshop or use any vector graphic tools on them.  For example if you open a .svg or .eps file with Photoshop.   Photoshop will open the file as a single pixel layer  which may contain transparency.  If you want to work with vector files you should use a vector editor like Adobe Illustrator.
