Mystery floating panel - can't get rid of it

This mystery panel appears when I hover over it - it looks like the "Live Tip Brush Preview" - but it's NOT that. I can't figure out what it is or how to get rid of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you reset all tool and reset your preferences?

Yes. Solved it - didn't really figure it out - it was some kind of a weird "echo" of the "Live Brush Tip Preview" panel:

I brought up the Live Brush Tip Preview (to be clear - these are two different panels on the screen at the same time) and then clicked on the 8-dot pattern in the upper left hand corner of the "Live Brush Tip Preview" - and the second mystery panel disappeared.

So - problem solved - but I still don't understand how the two panels are related.

Thanks for the help!

Try using menu  Window>Workspaces>Reset WorkspaceName. See if Photoshop will reset its windows to display how the workspace  was setup. See if the Phantom window go away.

Thanks JJ but that doesn't work. I've tried multiple workspaces as well.

I'm using a wacom tablet - not sure if that info helps.
