Photoshop 21.0.2 - Layers Palette Problem

I'm in the Layers tab. In previous versions of Photoshop, if I had a multiple layers with an effect (Fx) applied, and the down arrows (on the right) were all showing the expanded view of any effects applied, I could close all these expanded views at once by OPTION+Clicking any one arrow. Now, in this new version of Pshop, when I try this, the action magnifies my open document like a thousand % (that is hyperbole, but you get the idea). Is there a way to stop this annoying function?
