Photoshop CS6 Layer and Navigator panel bug (HELP)

I've been using PSCS6 for a while now and never run into this issue. This started happening recently where I'll be working on a project and when I go to toggle a layers visibility it won't effect whats going on on screen or in the navigator. Such as if a Layer is now toggled "off" its still visible on screen. Also doing this in the navigator panel too. And as for the navigator panel, sometimes nothing shows up in it.

I've also had issues with it registering layer effects, if I set the layer say in "multiply" it will not work.

The only way I can get this to work is if I keep minimizing and reopening Photoshop. And so far I'm only having issues with the layers, navigator.

This just started happening and I've updated my PC drivers etc. Done all the troubleshoot settings for Disabling GPU processor in preferences etc. Also uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing works. Please help.

Have you reset preferences? Uninstalling/reinstalling does not touch those.

If you need a quick and dirty way to restore your preferences, here's a way you can do it using a keyboard shortcut on launch:

Windows - double-click the PS icon to start Photoshop

                  Immediately Hold down CTRL-SHIFT-ALT

You will see a delete preferences dialog. Click “yes".

Macintosh - Hold down CMD-SHIFT-OPTION instead.
