Type cursor is backwards.

I am trying to add type in PS2020 and the cursor is in front of the text as I am entering instead of behind like it always is. The punctuation is automatically going to the front of the text. 

For example:

Text that should read "Apply online now!"

appears as "!Apply online now" 

no matter what I do, or what punctuation I use, it goes to the beginning of the text. 

Key command are weird, too. shift+command+L shifts RIGHT and vica vera. Have all the key commands changes or is it just me.

Just recent go a new Imac and downloaded CS2020. Uninstalled, reinstalled with same issue.

Maybe you have enabled RTL writing (right to left instead of left to right) ?

If so - change the writing direction or disable the middle eastern feature in preferences (if not needed).

Photoshop> Preferences > Type > Middle eastern & South Asian
