Hi, if you read my post you will see that I did just that, ticked 'Content' then went to 'By Type' and then to 'Frames' but nothing appears....?

In fact the only item that will show ie 'Backgrounds' none of the others in the list appear.

Perhaps someone deleted the frames. This is easy to do via the trash icon in the content palette.

However, you can make your own frames. If you are interested I can furnish directions. Let me know.

I am the only one who has ever used this PS, I would not have thought that one could delete 'Frames' as surely they are part of PS Elements 8

However any help in making some would be helpful.

However any help in making some would be helpful.

  1. Open picture file
  2. Go to Select>all
  3. Open a blank layer above the background layer. This will be Layer 1.
  4. Go to Edit>Stroke(outline) selection. Make the stroke wide - 25-30px - Color does not matter. Position it inside.
  5. Open the Effects palette. In the drop-down go to Patterns. Try the Wood pattern. Apply
  6. Still in the Effects palette, go to Bevels in the drop-down. Try Scalloped Edge. Apply
  7. On Layer 1 in the palette, double click the f to bring up the Style Settings dialog. Here you can fine tune the bevel with the slider, among other options.
  8. Press CTRL+D to get rid of the marching ants
