Problem opening a file

New Here ,

I have Photoshop Elements 2018 installed on my laptop (Windows) and also on my Desktop and I have the same problem on both.

When I open a file, it does open but the picture on the screen is about one tenth of the full picture and is always located on the top left corner of the screen see image).  It was not like that when I installed the program but became that way after a short time.  Did I press the wrong option somewhere? and how do I revert back to seeing

the full picture?  Thanks for any help

Left click click and hold on the picture, then drag it to the center of the screen. Or press CTRL+0.

Does that fix it?

Indeed Ctrl + 0 brings the picture in the middle of the workspace.  However I would like the picture to open directly in the workspace and not have to do Ctrl + 0 for each picture that I want to open.  It used to work correctly when I installed Photoshop Elements.

Thanks for your help.  I will use this workaround for the time beeing.

It should be sticky, although I have to adjust the place holder a bit from time to time.

You're welcome. Glad to help.
