Question

Change canvas size iPhone PS Express or Lightroom

Is it not possible to change canvas size on an iPhone with either of these apps? The internet is telling me to just use the crop function and drag it larger. Not sure what I'm missing, but it won't let me do it. Having to use my laptop for this is dumb. I got another free app that does it... but would love to use the "robust" app I'm paying for.
TIA

(Now I'm seeing "iPhone" isn't even one of the topics I can choose... I'm obviously lost)

If you want to change the canvas size of an image on an iPhone, Photoshop Express is a good option. Here, you can open the image and go to the Crop option and set the size according to the pixels using the Free Size or Resize option. And although you can't change the canvas directly in Lightroom, you can use the Crop option to crop the image, and you can adjust the output size when exporting. In simple terms, it is better to use Photoshop Express to change the size, and Lightroom is more useful for editing images or adjusting color and light.

doesn't work. only crops - no ability to expand (e.g. 21:9 canvas to 16:9) with transparent borders like is possible in desktop crop tool

The topics "expand," "extend," and "canvas" in all possible combinations I tried when searching Ps Express and Lr mobile apps Help do not exist. I tried to expand canvas in both apps. Nada.

Thanks for looking around for the answer, I really appreciate that! I'm just perplexed. Such a basic functionality to not include.

Interesting. Today I learned what WYSIWYG is... well, I learned what it stands for. Don't full understand what it is yet but I've got some stuff to continue reading 🙂

Photoshop Mix was a free app that had this ability but Adobe shut off access to this and forced people to Photoshop Express which has less functionality and usability.  I hate Adobe for doing this
