Delete background not working on Photoshop Express app (Android)

I'm using Photoshop express app on an Android phone. When I open the app, my photos appear. There is no "home" screen with options. I select the photo I want to edit, then the tools icon, then "select background" then "delete selection". The background is correctly selected by the software, but it will not delete. 

If you have a similar issue, please say so, and maybe adobe will actually fix it.

If you have a solution, please share it. I have no reason to keep paying for the app if it doesn't work.

Which version of Photoshop Express and Android are you using? Please share your device specifications. Does this happen with all the images? Can you please share a small video or screenshots of the issue?

Have you tried reinstalling the application? If not done so far, do it now.

We're here to help, just need some more info.
