device has no free space error

My JH students can't open their project on the iPad and I am not sure what is going on.  Their file works on the desktop but when they try to open it on the iPad at home, they get the following error message:

"Could not open because the device has no free space."

We have permantly deleted old project and have tried reinstalling the app.

Any suggestions?
