Action Shortcut doesn't launch the Action

I have created an action in Photoshop CC and a Windows 10 PC. I assigned it F11 shortcut. When I want to launch that action, F11 does nothing.

I created the same action and this time assigned it Ctrl F11 to launch. Now when I try to launch it, again...nothing.

I also note that when launching other Actions with their shortcut, the action doesn't launch but instead, a different action launches. For example, Shift F10 is supposed to rotate the image 180 degrees but instead I get a "The command "Flip" is not currently available."

Any thoughts?

The Action where you get "The command "Flip" is not currently available." could you have recorded menu Edit>Transform>Flip not menu Image>Image Rotate>Flip.  If transform flip is what was recorded. If the background layer in the active document   Photoshop's current target  transform would not be available. The failing steo should be hilighliteg ind the action paletted in the failing sten when the message is displayed.

It should be the Action with  F10 assigeed in the action palette.

On top of that Flip is more a rotate in 3D space to produce a mirrored view not a rotate 180 which would turn the image upside down.

Assigning Function  keys should work and play the action even if the function key assigned was a Photoshop Shortcut the Action assignment would override adobe function key shortcut.  Try resetting your Photoshop preferences.

Reset preferences after deleting my problematic Action BGT Removal. Created the action again, with F11 to launch. I ran it with F11 and this Save to Window opens?

That a strange action It plays fine on my machine  makes a layered document into a single normal layer document Layer 0.  For some reason it look like on your machine Rasterize current layer is creating layer 0 copies it twice and opens a Save AS dialog the action seems to still be in the Rasterize Current Layer step.  Have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences.  Your document should have Layer 0 and the action should have ended and  BG Removal should be highlighted.

Your Document has three layers and the action step highlighted is reaterize current layer.

What version of Photshop are you using.  I'm using Windows 10 and CC 2018 19.1.6 which I still have problems with and it terminate and it will send Adobe information about the failures.

I have reset preferences.

If I open a psd file and attempt F11, nothing happens.

If I "play" the Action BG Removal, works as it should.

Your earlier comment about layers was my own doing so that's why I wanted you to see it without any extra "stuff".

Stop confusing me I'm a senior too.  I have F11 assigned to and Action I use often and have no problem playing the action which run a script.  So I just create an Action for F11 a simple Stop message with continue. I assigned Ctrl+F11  to test it.  The Action plays and the action palette shows it in the stop step. When I click continue the action ends and the Action Name is highlighted in the Actions palette.

JJMack, I have an embarrassing confession to make but in the interest of full disclosure, I feel I must. My damn F Lock was turned off so when I was selecting the command to launch the action, of course it could not launch!
