Arrow instead of brushes

When using different brushes or eraser, cursor is always an arrow. I can't see the size of my brush. Caps lock is off and I've checked cursor preferences as well.

Try resetting your preferences. This is just local on your machine, right? You aren't sharing your screen with anyone?

Yes, just my machine. Happened after I updated to 2020. Desktop and laptop.

You get an arrow when the Path Selection tool is active.  Just a thought.

I have the same problem with my new 16 inch mac book pro. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try turning off the Rulers. (CTRL + R)

This is the only work around that worked for me, but it doesn't fix the problem.
