Auto-save folder empty on Mac

Hi, Photoshop CC 2018 just crashed with 3 psds opened. On reopen it didn't load any recovered versions of the psds which were opened before. I went into the library folder (Macintosh HD/Users/admin/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC 2018/AutoRecover) which was empty, despite the fact that the auto-save feature is enabled (see screenshot). This is the 3rd time that this happens with Photoshop CC 2018. On the 2nd time I had tried to uninstall/re-install the software. It didn't obviously solve the problem. I am running macOS 10.13.1.
It would be great that the Photoshop people have a look at this issue as this is extremely unpleasant. All of the worked done yesterday, about 10 new artboards, have been just wiped out.

First of all, save your work regularly. Don't fully rely on Auto Save Recovery. If you save your work every half hour or so, then you can only lose half an hour of work in case of a crash. Secondly, keep all your software updated. You run MacOS X 10.13.1, but the latest version is 10.13.6. I'm not saying that this is the cause of your problem, but it's possible that there was some incompatibility that has been solved already. It also means that your Mac is not as safe as it could be.

Real helpful responses...
Just had the same thing happen. I had three artboards up, one of which I saved, and two others I didn't. I didn't care about the one but the other is missing. Of course autorecovery worked for only the one I didn't care about. I'm wondering if its an issue if they are still Untitled and they just overwrite. Who knows, but yes, when you are paying for a feature the expectation is that it works regularly. If that feature doesn't work, the creator is to blame. We've seen autosave issues before, Adobe is sloppy in their code for Mac and slow to fix issues.
