Batch processing problem since updating to CC 2020

Ever since updating to Photoshop CC 2020 I'm having an issue with batch processing.  It keeps freezing up while in the process. I never had this problem before the update from a few days ago.  I'm using a macbook pro 2015 if that's helpful.  Thanks!

Photoshop 2020 June Update - Issue still there. Massive lag when proccessing multiple images through File > Automate > "Batch..." . Photoshop Freezes, mouse gets unresponsive, takes about 30s-2min before I can switch to Desktop, Finder or any other App... Proccessing 500 images now does take loads of time. Gonna use XnConvert until its fixed ;/

same here, seems like memory is filling up and getting clogged or something, after about 100 images processed it gets super slow and progress bars take forever, even when processing batches of small jpegs

also having this issue, seems like "batch process" was removed from the Bridge Tools menu.

is there an alternative method to processesing several images???

choosing "process collections in photoshop" does not give me the same options as PS CC2019

Following. Also just discovered the Batch / Image Processing feature has been removed from Bridge. Would like to know the alternative or replacement.

Update:  it's specifically happening when opening multiple files within Photoshop.  I usually run a batch process for preparing my photos as proofs to show clients.  The process downsizes then places my logo and proofing stamp accross the photo.  I normally keep the files open then move the stamp so that isn't covering the subject matters face.  Then I run a batch process with the open files to save and close them.  Anything with more that 10 to 12 files is freezing the program. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Same exact issue here as teranphoto after updating to PS 2020 on MacBook. I even had problems with simply opening ANY image. A job that would normally take me 5 minutes was taking 30 because of the spinning beach ball with every save, action selection, or even using the text tool. I Recently reset PRam, deleted preferences. That helped for about an hour; then as soon as I started a Batch Process with selected action, I got the spinning beach ball. Major problem with this update. Adobe, please offer some assistance. This needs to be fixed asap! But until then, I'll go back to a previous version.
