Question

Best/most cost effective package/program for teen to learn photoshop?

My 13 yr old is wanting to learn photoshop this summer.  Rather than just watching random YouTube videos I was hoping for something more structured where he can learn the basics and then move up.  Would the Student package be appropriate?  It is advertised for $19.99/mo and I am unsure what that includes.  The fine print says "student pricing on the Creative Cloud All Apps plan so I am assuming there are additional charges.

Thanks!

Also https://www.adobepress.com/store/adobe-photoshop-classroom-in-a-book-2020-release-9780136447993 is brilliant with step-by-step tutorials and links to online demonstrations.

Hi

Student pricing refers to the reduced price of the full Creative Cloud Package which contains many applications not just Photoshop (e.g. In Design, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Dimension,.... and more. The price you quote is for an annual plan (paid monthly) so you have a 12 month minimum commitment and early cancellation involves charges. The price is for the first year and rises for subsequent years. What it is not is a cut down version (so these really are the full applications) , or special teaching edition.

If you are not interested in the other applications the Photography plan includes Photoshop and Lightroom for $9.99/month again an annual commitment.

For learning I would recommend the courses on LinkedIn or Lynda.com which are designed to work through step by step.
