Best Way to Remove Glare on Flat Surface?

I'm trying to remove the glare from the overhead light in this image to make the floor look more uniform. I was working with some adjustment layers and masks, but I'm wondering if anyone knows other methods that could be useful. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using the healing tools?

The Spot Healing brush or the Patch tool should be able to replace the areas with glare using the rest of the image as a resource.

I did, but I don't think it'll work with such a large area, unless I'm just doing it wrong. The spot healing brush tool messes up the seams between the boards, which I need to stay intact

Using the patch tool you can select the area as a whole or in pieces, then as you drag you get a preview to line up the seams.
