Black Box when Using Liquify filter

I have the latest version of Photoshop CC (19.1.5 release) and when I try using the Liquify filter, all I get is a black box where the image should be.  I am running with an Intel HD Graphic 4000 processor.  Could someone please tell me what I can do to get this problem fixed?

Thanks!

Choose Preferences > Performance ... and uncheck Use Graphics Processor. Then restart Photoshop and see whether that solves the problem. You may need an upgrade.

I had that issue many times in different computers, and I agree with this guys, is a GPU issue, the only problem that I had is I disconnect the Use Graphics Processor, the face recognition doesn't work

Hi

That sounds like a GPU issue. However I would take a step by step approach:

1. Check whether a later driver is available for your GPU, which does not appear on the tested list, but which may work depending on the driver .

2. If it has worked before and has just stopped, try a preference reset. The preferences are saved each time Photoshop closes and can become corrupt (Preferences >General>Reset Preferences on Quit)
