Forgive but I am still fairly new to Phostoshop. I am trying to use the brush tool and shift to make a straight line. When I make my fisrt spot and then hold the shift key the brush changes to the hand instead of remaining a brush so when I make my second point all I get is another spot. I have reset the brush tool and my preferences but nothing seems to be working for me. I am running on Windows 10, Photoshop 22.3.0.
Are you sure you're hitting Shift? The hand tool is activated by the Space Bar.
You may want to look in the Edit menu - at the bottom you can review keyboard shortcuts, and see if somehow the shift key got assigned to the hand tool?
