I agree. The ram is a simple plug-in project and is what you need first. The drive can wait.

Because...yikes. CPU is a little on the slow side but the RAM...whoo-boy...that's just a little over the bare minimum to run Photoshop. You're definitely going to have some page file swapping (i.e., really slow response) going on.

When Photoshop runs out of available RAM, it starts to use your hard drive as memory, which can be much slower than conventional RAM.

 

Definitely look into upgrading the RAM before anything else. It will make quite a difference.
