Can I save a 3d camera view as a preset, and use it to position a re-import of the same model?

I can't save huge files after import (see another thread on that), so when re-importing, it would be great to have the arduously achieved camera angle on that model to reposition w a single click.  Is that possible?  Light a lights preset....  I can save a Rendering preset, but it doesn't reposition the camera when I choose it.

Finally got around to opening photoshop tonight to verify, but the answer to your question is yes, you can save the camera view as a preset.

As you can see in the next image the preset is not global. It is for the current document only.

Its been quite a while, but I believe it is possible to replace an object without having to loosing any of the scene settings including the scaling, position and rotation of the object it self.
